Ukrainian officials said at least two people were killed and four were injured when Russian artillery struck homes and a children’s rehabilitation center in the southern city of Kherson on Wednesday, February 8.

The Kherson Regional State Administration (OVA) released three pieces of footage throughout the day.

The first piece of footage, from 0:00 to 1:32, shows major damage to homes on Lomonosov Street on the west side of the city, according to the OVA. A 40-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy sustained minor injuries, officials said.

Footage from 1:33 to 2:50 depicts damage to the roof, walls, and windows of a home in Kherson’s Dnipro district, the OVA said. “During the shelling, the couple went shopping to the store, while the grandfather and his five-year-old grandson remained in the house. Fortunately, at the time of the shelling, they were preparing dinner in the part of the house that was not hit by an enemy shell,” the OVA wrote, according to a Google translation.

Further footage, shown from 2:51 to 4:30 (end), depicts damage to a center that helped children with disabilities and developmental issues. The Kherson OVA said it was the fourth time that the center had been damaged by Russian strikes.

A kindergarten close to the center also sustained damage in the strikes, according to Ukrainian public media
