Unpatriotic Porch Pirate Takes American Flag From Michigan Home

Police in Michigan are looking to identify a porch pirate caught on camera in the unpatriotic act of stealing an American flag from a home in East Lansing recently.

Footage shared by Meridian Township Police on May 26 shows a young male removing the flag from the porch of the home near Park Lake and Burcham.

According to the police, the suspect is “likely a teenager,” and was driving a light colored pickup truck when the incident occurred.

They said that they hoped the theft was a “tasteless prank” and are seeking information so that the flag can be returned to its owners as soon as possible. Credit: Meridian Township Police via Storyful
