The US military helped deliver humanitarian supplies to communities in isolated areas of eastern Honduras on November 28, as the country attempts to recover from the double blow of Hurricanes Eta and Iota.

This footage, recorded by the US Air Force, shows military personnel from Joint Task Force-Bravo flying in and distributing food aid. The US task force is based at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras. The military said the humanitarian operation was conducted along with Honduran forces.

Eta and Iota – which became category 4 and 5 storms respectively – capped a record Atlantic hurricane season with 30 named storms. Eta and Iota devastated parts of Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala, impacting over 5 million people. In Honduras, some 188,000 people are estimated to be isolated from humanitarian access.
