Vigil Held in Trier Following Fatal Incident in Which Vehicle Hit Pedestrians

The German city of Trier held a vigil on December 2 for the five victims that were killed when a car hit pedestrians the previous day.

“We cannot undo the great suffering that was caused by this attack. But we can assure the grieving and injured: you are not alone in your pain. The state government, the people in Rhineland-Palatinate, throughout Germany and in our friendly neighboring countries think of you and feel for you,” Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate Malu Dreyer is reported to have told the crowd.
