'Water Views Everywhere' - Roads Flooded After Storm Hits Gold Coast

Cars navigated flooded roads on Queensland’s Gold Coast on January 18, as heavy rains forced the closure of several thoroughfares.

The Bureau of Meteorology said many parts of south-east Queensland had received more than 100mm of rain, with some areas receiving over 300mm in 24 hours.

The bureau had earlier warned of “life-threatening flash flooding,” as dangerous thunderstorms hit the Gold Coast.
