Wedding Combines Cultures as Irish Dancers Perform to Middle Eastern Drums
A beautiful wedding performance that combined Irish and Iraqi cultures went viral after it was posted to TikTok on January 29.
The footage, filmed by Helen Hanna, shows Irish dancers performing to the beat of traditional drumming at her cousin’s wedding reception in South Morang, Victoria.
“My cousin fell in love with an Irishman five years ago when they met in Melbourne,” Hanna told Storyful. “She is Chaldean (from Iraq).”
“It was a beautiful way to combine both of the cultures and celebrate their love for each other,” she said.
