Wisconsin State Assembly speaker Robin Vos told voters on April 7, while wearing a mask, gloves, and other protective equipment, that it was “incredibly safe to go out” to vote in the state’s presidential primary elections.

Vos was speaking to local media at a polling station in Burlington where he was serving as an election inspector.

He explains in the video that personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for those working at the polling station and claims that there is less exposure [to coronavirus] there than at the grocery store.

The reporter asks him to address people who hadn’t received their ballot cards on time and were afraid to leave their houses. He says that voters could request an email ballot or alternatively, come to one of the polling stations, an option he describes as “incredibly safe.”
