A 52-year-old woman was killed on August 10 in a Russian rocket attack on the village of Kushugum in Zaporizhzhia, according to Ukrainian officials.

Volodymyr Sosunovsky, head of the Kushugum community, wrote that there were “many houses damaged” and others were “completely destroyed” by the strikes.

“The enemy, not having achieved military goals, is taking advantage of the civilians of the Zaporizhzhia region and is destroying our civil infrastructure,” said Oleksandr Starukh, head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, alongside images of the site where four rockets struck.

Public broadcaster Suspilne reported that 69 houses were damaged, five of which were “completely destroyed.” This footage from Suspilne shows the aftermath of the attacks, including shattered windows and wrecked roofs. Credit: Suspilne News via Storyful
