Groups of youths were seen brawling and throwing bottles on a busy beach in north Dublin on Sunday, June 4, with police arriving to clear the area.

Footage here, from Burrow Beach, shows objects being thrown between groups of youths. Scuffles between them could be seen in separate footage.

“Uniform Gardai from the Raheny District and the Public Order Unit attended the scene where a presence was maintained until large crowds that had gathered there for much of the day had dispersed safely,” the Garda, the Irish police force, said.

“No arrests were made and enquiries into the incident are ongoing,” the statement said.

One local resident told Storyful that the fighting and disturbances on the beach took place between 5:30 pm and 7 pm on Sunday evening.

“Every time it is sunny this happens. No Gardai in sight until it’s too late,” the resident, who wished to be anonymous, told Storyful.

“Property is stolen, burnt, there are two bins so the whole beach is destroyed every time,” they added.

Gardai were appealing to the public for further information on Sunday’s events.
