The California Highway Patrol caught a young person driving down the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles, California, in a go-kart around 2 am on Wednesday, December 1, in order to get content for their YouTube channel, the patrol said.

California Highway Patrol Sgt Geraty was on patrol along the freeway in Sherman Oaks when he noticed traffic suddenly slow down, the patrol said in a Facebook post. He then saw the go-kart driving in the slow lane and exiting at Woodman Avenue, surrounded to the front and back by two cars that were escorting the kart.

Video posted by California Highway Patrol West Valley shows a person driving the go-kart that night.

Geraty pulled the individuals involved over on Woodman Avenue. The young people described themselves as “YouTubers” and admitted to doing the stunt for video content. One driver was cited for being a minor and driving outside of his license provisions, while the kart racer was cited for unlawful operation/impeding traffic.
