Smoke Billows From Parley's Canyon Fire Burning Near Park City, Utah

A wildfire burning near Park City shut down roads and forced evacuations on Saturday, August 14, fire officials said.

Footage shared on Twitter shows smoke billowing from the Parley’s Canyon Fire, named for the location where it started northwest of Park City. Officials estimated the fire was 2,000 acres in size on Saturday afternoon.

Approximately 2,000 structures and power lines were threatened by the fire, which was growing “rapidly” on Saturday, Utah wildfire officials said.
