UNC-Chapel Hill Holds Vigil for Professor Fatally Shot on Campus

On Wednesday, August 30, the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill held a vigil in memory of Zijie Yan, the associate professor who was shot dead on campus on Monday.

“He was a beloved teacher, a kind mentor, and a dear friend to so many on our campus,” the university’s chancellor said during the ceremony.
