Lamborghini has unveiled the Lanzador, their first-ever purely electric car. The firm, whose supercars have long been a favourite of the most devoted petrolheads, announced the remarkable move at Monterey Car Week and on the Concept Lawn at Pebble Beach’s Concours d’Elegance car show. Stephan Winkelmann, the Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini stated that this event marks a crucial milestone in the company's history signifying their commitment to decarbonisation and electrification. The Lanzador, a cutting-edge all-wheel-drive concept, redefines electric power with dual motors on each axle ensuring seamless all-electric propulsion across various conditions, terrains, and driving styles. It also boasts a staggering peak power of over one megawatt. The car’s energy is sourced from a next-generation high-performance battery that also guarantees an impressive range. While its interior sticks to Lamborghini's reputation for elegance while utilising sustainable materials. Now the bad news - customers who want to get their hands on one will have to wait until 2028.
