Tasmania's Hobart sees snow right before summer

Data from the BOM showed temperature in Hobart falling to 2.9 degrees Celsius overnight, and that the Western and Central Plateau districts saw up to 30 centimetres of snowfall.

Videos on social media showed snow piling up on roads and in valleys.

Tasmania is still in late Spring season.
