"Brazil, wow! That was incredible. It was a fun atmosphere, I felt like a playoff atmosphere. Your fans, I mean, people of Brazil, that was something incredible. We really appreciate it! We appreciate the hospitality, the fan support. It was a little louder than I wanted to when the Green Bay Packers were coming out, but people of Brazil, wow. That was first class!”

Brazil, where soccer is king, hosted the first regular season game for the National Football League's Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers. The teams played at Sao Paulo's Corinthians Arena, with the Eagles winning 34-29.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said that the atmosphere was "unbelievable" and that the Brazilians were "first class."

Nearly 45,000 people were estimated to have attended the game in Latin America's largest city, home to more than 11 million people, as the NFL continues to expand its global footprint after games in Britain, Mexico and Germany in recent years.
