An eight-month-old tiger cub suffering fractures and bone disease was brought to Oakland Zoo in California on Tuesday, February 20, after being removed from a private facility.

Footage released by Oakland Zoo shows the arrival of the young female cub.

“On Tuesday afternoon, an 8-month-old tiger cub with multiple fractures and metabolic bone disease was brought to Oakland Zoo by @CaliforniaDFW, who rescued her from a privately owned facility,” the zoo said on X.

Veterinarians at the zoo told local media that though the animal’s injuries were serious, she would hopefully make a full recovery.
