STORY: Mnuchin told CNBC Thursday (March 14) that he's putting together an investor group to try to buy TikTok from Chinese owner ByteDance.

His comment came just a day after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that would give the short-video app's Chinese owner ByteDance about six months to divest the U.S. assets or face a ban. It is unclear whether the bill will pass in the Senate.

Speaking with Reuters' Lisa Bernhard, Orczyk Sissel said Mnuchin buying TikTok would "make sense," citing his résumé and recent investment in the struggling New York Community Bank.

"He's all about making a big splash," she added.

Orczyk Sissel also discussed Thursday's hotter-than-expected Producer Price Index and how the Federal Reserve likely won't - and shouldn't - start cutting rates by June.

Finally, she weighed in on why she's still bullish on Nvidia and explains the wild, wonky world of bitcoin "halving," which could push the price of the soaring digital asset even higher.
