Lava flows from the Mauna Loa eruption moved north towards the Daniel K Inouye Highway, also known as Saddle Road, on Wednesday, November 30, the USGS said.

In their latest update, the service said that Fissure 3 on the Northeast Rift Zone remained the largest source of lava flow from the eruption.

Flows were moving north, but had slowed to about 0.02 miles per hour on Wednesday. The flow front was located 3.6 miles from the Daniel K Inouye Highway.

No properties were in danger from the eruption, the update added.
