A school being used as an emergency point in case of power blackouts near Kramatorsk, in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast, was hit by Russian shelling on Tuesday, December 6, local authorities said.

Donetsk Regional State Administration (OVA) said a school building being used as a “point of invincibility” in the town of Malotaranovka was “significantly damaged” in the strikes.

In November, following strikes on power infrastructure across Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced “points of invincibility” would be launched across the country, offering shelter and power to residents in case of blackouts.

Footage released by the OVA and verified by Storyful shows residents cleaning up broken glass at Kramatorsk secondary school No. 13.
