Several structures, including a 119-year-old tabernacle, sustained “major damage” in Parker County, Texas, after a severe storm swept through the area on Friday, March 24, local reports said.

Drone footage captured by Blaine Hicks shows damage in the town of Poolville near the grounds of its cemetery and tabernacle pavilion, on Friday morning.

Local media reported the open-air structure was a historic “community site” in the town where the local church had planned to host an Easter sunrise service.

By Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service said the threat of further severe storms had diminished, but an isolated severe storm with hail “cannot be ruled out” for the rest of the day. Credit: Blaine Hicks via Storyful
