Arachnophobes look away now. Everyone else, check out this massive tarantula that was spotted creeping along a highway in a California nature park recently.

A ranger at Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve spotted the tarantula one afternoon, and wasted no time recording this close-up, high-resolution video.

The park added the “fun fact” that female tarantulas “can lay up to 2,000 eggs and live to be over 30 years old.” Credit: Olivenhain Municipal Water District via Storyful
