A capybara swatted away flies that were buzzing around its ears with a vigorous ear wiggle at a Bolivian wildlife refuge.

This footage, filmed by Natalia Cara de Medeiros, shows the animal’s comical swatting technique, using its ears to quickly whack away the annoying insects at the La Senda Verde refuge.

“Capybaras are very calm animals, but no one is able to ignore flies around your head for too long. All this rescued capybara does about it is move its ears and nose very quickly, which looks extremely cute and funny!” She told Storyful. “This lovely animal was lucky enough to be rescued from becoming bushmeat and now lives a relaxing life at a Wildlife Refuge.” Credit: Natalia Cara de Medeiros via Storyful
