Robert F Kennedy Jr announced on Monday, October 9, that he had exited the Democratic presidential race to instead run as an Independent.

“I’m here to declare myself an independent candidate,” Kennedy, age 69, said during a campaign event outside the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
