'Beautiful' Great Horned Owl Rescued in Monument, Colorado

A “beautiful” great horned owl was rescued near a trail in Monument, Colorado, on Thursday, September 1, according to a post on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Southeast Region Twitter page.

“These large predatory birds have two prominent feathered tufts on their head and can grow to a wingspan of 4.5 feet,” read a caption accompanying the post.
