China launched three astronauts towards its new space station from the Gobi Desert in the country’s Inner Mongolia province, on June 17.

The Shenzhou 12 spacecraft was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and was the first-ever crewed mission to China’s Tiangong space station. Reports said the crew would be stationed at Tiangong for three months.
