For the first time in three years, bulls ran through the streets of Pamplona, Spain, as the storied annual tradition resumed after a pandemic hiatus.

This footage shows the anticipation of attendees on Wednesday, July 6, the day before the festival began. Crowds are seen cheering and raising red bandannas, which are worn around the neck of those who choose to run through the streets with the bulls.

El Mundo reported that no one was gored during the July 7 run, but said five people were transferred to a local hospital.

Sixteen people have died at the Pamplona bull runs since 1910, with the most recent being in 2009, according to the festival’s official site. Credit: @hector2X via Storyful
