Damage From Fawn Fire Seen as Woman Charged With Arson

The Shasta County District Attorney’s Office said a woman was arrested in relation to the Fawn Fire burning north of Redding, California, since September 22.

Alexandra Souverneva, 30, of Palo Alto, has been charged with arson, deputy district attorney Stephanie A Bridgett said in a press conference on Friday, September 24.

This footage, shot by Alekz Londos, shows smoke billowing from the Fawn Fire as a helitanker flies by. Burnt-out vehicles are also seen.

The fire had burned 8,446 acres and was at 25 percent containment as of September 25.
