Downtown Miami Under Water Amid Tropical Storm Warnings

Heavy rain caused flash flooding in Miami overnight into June 4 as Potential Tropical Cyclone One, forecast to become a tropical storm, hit South Florida.

The National Weather Service warned of the potential for “major flooding” with the possibility of coastal storm surge through Sunday.

This footage posted by the City of Miami Saturday morning shows a submerged road and several vehicles partially under water.

Miami Fire Rescue said they were responding to “multiple calls” of stranded vehicles overnight and reminded motorists not to drive through flooded roadways. Credit: City of Miami via Storyful
