Giant Iceberg Spotted Off Newfoundland Coast

The first massive iceberg sightings of the season were spotted off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada, on April 11.

Rebecca Acton-Bond, Canadian Coast Guard’s acting superintendent of ice operations, told CBC there were a “significant amount of icebergs” in the area and that they usually don’t arrive in these numbers until “May or June”.
