Yahoo TV Humpback Whales Spotted From Commuter Ferry in Sydney Harbour

A pair of humpback whales were spotted near the Sydney Opera House on Friday, September 15, adding a bit of excitement to the daily commute for some lucky ferry passengers.
This footage by Michael Boyd shows the moment one whale “popped up” out of the sea in Sydney Harbour, as passengers on a ferry looked on. “Friday commute just got better,” he wrote on Instagram.
A wildlife scientist from Macquarie University, Vanessa Pirotta, told the Sydney Morning Herald that it was uncommon for the migrating whales to come so far into the harbour. Credit: Michael Boyd via Storyful
