A climate protester demonstrating near Waterloo Bridge in London, England, on Sunday, October 2, said on camera that she was “doing it for [her] son” as police officers carried her away.

In the video, recorded by Zoe Broughton, a protester wearing an orange top can be seen talking to the camera as policemen carry her off the bridge. “I’m doing it for my son,” she says. “The government’s inaction on climate change is a death sentence to us all.”

The protest comes after Liz Truss’s government recently confirmed that more than 100 new oil and gas licenses would open up in the North Sea next month.

The activist seen in the video described this decision as being “a death sentence for this planet.”
