Firefighters worked to contain the Fly Fire near Quincy, California, on July 22, after it ignited at around 5 pm that day near the raging Dixie Fire. The 1,650-acre Fly Fire was zero percent contained on Friday morning, the US Forest Service said.

Local reports said the Fly Fire prompted a closure of Highway 70, and the flames were “hit heavy” by aircraft tackling the blaze.
