Prison inmate swallows cell phone, removed after surgery

A prison inmate swallowed a cell phone in an attempt to hide it from prison officials during a routine search at the Tihar jail in Delhi, India last week. Not long after, the inmate was hospitalized after complaining of stomach cramps. Doctors discovered the phone, performed an endoscopy and removed the device through the mouth.
