Protesters Clash With Kiev Police After Conviction of Nationalist Leader

Large crowds clashes with Ukrainian police in Kiev on February 23 following the conviction of nationalist activist Sergiy Sternenko, who faced charges stemming from an alleged kidnapping plot.

Sternenko, formerly head of the nationalist Right Sector group in Odessa, was charged in connection with the abduction of politician Serhiy Shcherbych in 2015.

Sternenko faces separate murder charges in a second case.
