Satellite Imagery Captures Lightning Flashes as 'Severe' Storms Move Across Texas and Oklahoma

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellite captured severe weather activity across parts of Texas and Oklahoma, after tornadoes struck the area on Wednesday, May 4.

The imagery shows lightning flashes across the states and was captured using a specialized lighting mapper, according to the NOAA. Extensive damage was reported the following day.
