Teen Slides on Icy Road in North Texas Amid Wintry Conditions
Ice covered roads in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area on Tuesday, January 31, with sleet falling across North Texas, according to the National Weather Service.
Video filmed by Kevin Roden shows his 14-year-old daughter sliding on an icy road in Denton.
The National Weather Service said light to moderate freezing rain was moving into central Texas early on Wednesday morning. It issued a warning for a half inch of ice accumulation on Wednesday into early Thursday, which could result in tree breakage, localized power outages and dangerous travel conditions.
