Torrential Rain Causes Flash Flooding in Southern Spain

Heavy rainfall in southern Spain caused extensive flooding in the province of Huelva on September 23, covering roadways and submerging vehicles.

As much as 100 mm (about 4 inches) of rain accumulated in parts of Huelva province over a 12-hour period into September 23, according to the Andalusian Meteorological Agency.
