Wildfires Prompt Evacuations in Taylor County, Texas
Flames and smoke were spotted in Taylor County, Texas, as fire officials carried out multiple evacuations in the area on May 17.
The local sheriff’s office evacuated residents in a number of locations on Tuesday, while Red Cross North Texas opened a temporary evacuation point in Abilene for around 50 people.
