Smoke Clouds Loom in Northern New Mexico Sky as Wildfires Rage On

Massive smoke clouds were seen in northern New Mexico, as wildfires continued to burn and red flag warnings remained in place for parts of the state on Tuesday, May 10.

This footage, captured by Joseph Kelly, shows smoke clouds visible near Angel Fire, a town in northern New Mexico, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon wildfires started in April, burned 203,920 acres (319 square miles) by May 10, and were 39 percent contained, according to local fire reports.
