Jackson City Council onboard for new JSU football stadium

This week during a city council meeting the City of Jackson agreed to fully support a new football stadium for the Jackson State football program. This comes months after the city pledged $250,000 in 2021 towards research on a new stadium on JSU's campus. An early estimate is $80 million. It'll be awhile before a shovel goes into the dirt but JSU hopes a stadium could be built in three years once the greenlight is given. We'll keep you updated as this story develops.
