The longest-serving passenger-screening explosives-detection canine at Reagan Airport in Washington, DC, celebrated his retirement with a bunch of his favorite toys on April 19, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said.

This footage, released by Lisa Farbstein, a TSA Spokesperson, captures Messi, an 8-year-old yellow Lab, sniffing his final bag before being “showered with dozens of his favorite toys.”

The official Reagan Airport account wrote on X: “How exciting and well-deserved for all of his service! We only wish Messi all the best for the next chapter in his life!”
