Fireball Visible in Sky Above Northern Italy

A bright fireball was spotted streaking across the skies of Italy on February 17. According to reports from MeteoWeb, the blaze was visible in several central and northern regions of the country, including Tuscany, Emilia Romagna and Lombary.

This footage, taken by a local resident, shows the fireball from Collecchio, a town in Emilia Romagna.

Locals in the south of France also caught a glimpse of the phenomenon, Askanews reported, with many ringing fire departments to report a “ball of green fire” they saw in the sky. Credit: Andrea Franchi
