The summer season is coming to a close as fall is about to swoop in and put several major holidays into view. With retailers offering sales earlier each year and inflation still around for many consumers, planning holiday spending could be crucial for sticking to a budget.

HerFinancial IQ Founder Jessica Perrone joins Wealth! to break down the best ways to prepare for the upcoming holiday season.

"This is the time to start creating your budget, and the best way to do it is one of two ways. The first one is kind of look at your spending from last year, you know, what did you spend on gifts? What did you spend on travel even? What did you spend on new outfits for those holiday parties? And then going forward, kind of approximate where you want to spend it this year," Perrone says.
