Hawk Tries to Snatch Dog From Lawn in Houston Suburb

Kathryn Garver’s tiny 12-week-old Chihuahua almost became a hawk’s lunch as it played on her lawn in Missouri City, Texas, recently.

Video from Garver shows little Lola nosing about the lawn before the bird, identified in local reports
as a red-tailed hawk, swoops in close, only for Lola to scamper out of the way.

Garver then steps forward from the porch, making sure the hawk doesn’t get a second chance.

“I was outside with Lola when a hawk flew into our yard and attempted to snatch her for a meal,” Garver told Storyful. “This video is every small dog owner’s worst nightmare. Luckily Lola survived.” Credit: Kathryn Garver via Storyful
