The Coachella music festival, scheduled for April of this year, has been cancelled yet again.

Its sister festival Stagecoach has also been called off by local officials, citing the global health crisis.

Coachella is one of the largest festivals in the world, attracting half a million concertgoers every year, and fans of performers ranging from Beyonce to Paul McCartney.

It's the third time the festival has been cancelled due to the health crisis.

Last April's festival was initially postponed to October, and then delayed again to April of this year.

The cancellations come as the health crisis has resurged in southern California over the past two months.

No details for this year's lineup had been announced yet, and no new dates have been given so far.

Festival organizers did not immediately return Reuters' request for comment.

Other major cultural events are also being forced to shift their dates this year.

England's famed Glastonbury music festival scheduled for June was cancelled last week, while the Cannes film festival in France was postponed this week from May to early July.
