High winds in New York City toppled a large tree which fell on a car on Wednesday, April 3, as a major storm system hit the area.
Footage recorded by Maris shows the scene of the incident on 102nd Street in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
The source said no-one was injured.
The National Weather Service in New York had warned of a major storm system hitting the state on Wednesday, bringing a threat of damaging winds and flooding.
Local authorities closed the Rockaway route of the NYC ferry on Wednesday and local media reported that wind-sensitive vehicles, such as empty trucks, were banned on seven bridges across the city. Credit: Maris via Storyful
