Spider lightning lit up the sky over Ulm, Germany, as a thunderstorm impacted the city in June, footage here shows.

This footage was captured by the Unwetter-Freaks, a local storm-chasing collective. They told Storyful: “After a line of powerful storms swept across the Ulm region in southwest Germany, an unbelievable natural spectacle began late in the evening. Countless crawlers (‘spider-lightning’) moved for kilometers through the storm cloud and lit up the entire sky.”
