STORY: An electronic board on the front of the stadium displayed a giant “stop war” message to condemn the military assault in Ukraine.

Atletico’s Metropolitan stadium has one of the most advanced lighting set ups in Spain and it is used before every Champions League match to put on a show.

The La Liga champions followed Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena in the initiative of showing Ukraine’s colours.
