All-female bartender contest helps fight breast cancer

These bartenders are attempting to do so as part of the annual Speed Rack competition

The event aims to elevate the craft of bartending across the globe

and raise money for breast cancer research and awareness

“We give them a group of six to eight cocktails, where four will be chosen on the day of. And it's about teaching them ways of working and just understanding how to build those drinks fast.”

“We started just as trying to create a platform for women to stand on in a male-dominated industry. The idea was always to raise money for breast cancer research and prevention.”

A jury tastes each cocktail and penalizes any absent ingredients

by adding on seconds to a contestant's time
