Maasai festival kicks off in Kenya

STORY: Young men, known as Maasai Morans, kicked off the festivities with chanting and horn blowing, while donning their traditional clothing and rubber sandals.

Decorated Maasai women also joined in with their chants.

Joshua Ole Kaputa, the Maasai festival organizer, explained that the event was held near the Sekenani gate at the Maasai Mara game reserve, and attracted tourists who were en route to other destinations.
